Recently fell into our hands Logitech Pro X Superlight – Mouse for thirteen thousand rubles. More precisely, how I got it, we bought it ourselves, used it for a month, and we definitely have something to share. Let's start with an answer to the main question: “Why is it so expensive?", Because the mouse for thirteen thousand is madness! Or not?
Market
Pro X Superlight is an ideological continuation of the model Pro Wireless , The wireless periphery exploding the market in 2018. At the time of the release, it was one of, and possibly the very advanced mouse in the world: with a delay at the level or lower than wired models, with reinforced concrete stable connection on a wireless channel, the most capacious battery, and most importantly, it had a record low weight. Only 80 grams.
Superlight is all the same, but the weight is put at the forefront – this is already 60 grams. But although the weight has decreased, then the price, on the contrary, has risen, and if the “last day” in the person of Pro Wireless can now be purchased for nine thousands of thousands, then SuperLight will cost thirteen. At the same time, the mouse lost lighting, additional side buttons on the right side and quick shift button DPI On the abdomen. That is, for less, we are forced to pay more. Why so? Let's carefully study the market and try to answer this question.
To do this, let's see what other devices we can get with the same characteristics. The answer is none. These will be either wired models or wireless, but with holes in the case, which not everyone likes, or mice that weighs much more, or it will be Glorious Starlight-12 Zeus. Yes, it is even easier than Superlight, but we again get a bee simulator instead of the usual view of the periphery, and in addition and the price tag is even higher. After all, the model is made of magnesium, and this is not so cheap in production.
Thus, it turns out that SuperLight is almost out of competition, but whether it justifies such a high price tag?
Build quality
Assembly and strength here for sure for all the money. When you take a mouse in your hand, which weighs nothing, press on it, squeeze it, but it does not creak. The fitting of details is perfect, and if you compare it with popular mice from lightweight devices from XTRFY , then the latter cannot boast of such monumentality. The case is not, no, and it creaks somewhere, even you don’t need to apply even efforts.
The following that we will write down in indisputable advantages is the configuration of clicks on the buttons. It always turns out to be a clear, with excellent tactile dedication and instant return to the original. Moreover, that on the main left and right buttons, on the side, on the wheels. Plus to this, the speed of the two main clicks of Logitech is a record high. Only at Razer with its optical switches. In the case of Logitech, it is difficult to say. What is exactly the association of such speed, since under the hood there are traditional, mechanical Omron.
We compared how the Logitech Superlight buttons work quickly and one of the best wired models – XTRFY M4 – V Quake Champions. The latter has always been slower: you are standing, the sight is induced to the point where the opponent should come from, it comes out, you press the button, and the mouse does not have time. As a result, the shot flies where the model was a few milliseconds ago, and in such a dynamic game as Quake, this is enough for everything to go awry. You are "cut" and you are dying.
At a qualitatively new level, the bottom of the mouse is decorated. There are now not five legs, as Pro Wireless has, with different shapes and sizes, and only three: huge on top, smaller from the bottom and one more near the opening of the sensor optics. That is, the sliding area is larger, and it is easier to change in the future. Also, one continuous slippery surface can be made from the bottom of the mouse. Open the box from the device, remove the stock plug for the compartment in which the elements of the system are hidden PowerPlay (We need to charge a mouse without wires right during the game from the Logitech branded rug) and change to an alternative, which is all glued with Teflon.
I also liked the fact that gloss from the bottom of the mouse, which used to turn from driving along the rugs on Pro Wireless into a scratched mess. Now there is only a neat edging along the edge. Still very by the way came the stickers on the case, which the manufacturer put in the kit with Superlight. The coating of the mouse is not slippery, at least in our white color, but these stickers obviously do not interfere with the owners of very sweaty palms. They are very well rubbed and cover all the main parts of the mouse body, for which fingers grab. That is, sides and main buttons. A trifle, but nice. But these are all the pluses, and what about the minuses? They are, though we would have written them more likely in the nuances.
Features and sensor
The DPI switch button has disappeared, and this is inconvenient. Changing sensitivity with one press here and now it will not work. We'll have to curl up, run G Hub (branded by Logitech) and change dpi there. Yes, you can also record Macro for this business, but it's still not as practical as turning the mouse and click on the button.
The backlight is all. The diode was thrown out of the mouse, and the company logo on the back no longer glows. In our opinion, this is not significant, since still the palm lies on the back of the mouse, and the backlight in real use is not visible. Well, probably, the most important thing to pay attention to is the lack of additional side buttons on the right side of Superlight.
The original Pro Wireless was a truly symmetrical mouse, both lefties and right-handed people could use it. The side buttons were located on both sides. If they were not needed, they could be removed without problems and put a plug, which was attached to the place with powerful magnets. Convenient and simple. Now there is none of this: we have only two non -buttons on the left. Solid body on the right and nothing more. By the way, this did not affect the grip, there are no changes in this part, but in fact, the mouse turned into a model for the right hand. Although, if you are left-handed and you are not embarrassed by the absence Exclusive Casino of side buttons, then even with a stretch, you can still consider Superlight as a bidder for a purchase.
Well, one more small stroke. A number of LEDs on the back evaporated the mouse. There were three of them, he became one, and, in fact, he simply shows that the mouse turned on and works on a certain sensitivity of the sensor. We are offered to determine it by the color that the diode shines at the moment when the device turns on or leaves the sleep mode.
In short, from Superlight, if you compare it with the previous Pro Wireless, tried to shake everything out without which you can do without it in order to make it as easier as possible.
Whether the game was worth the candle? Yes, definitely. Although the manufacturer claims a difference of only 20 grams, it feels in reality that the mouse is almost twice easier, and this is a true buzz. In the game it seems that there is nothing at all at hand, and only the palm moves along the rug – complete freedom of action. Plus to this, the amusing has improved significantly. The battery stopped pulling the mouse back, and it is clearly felt. In general, with Superlight in shooters there is more relaxedness and accuracy in movements. Due to huge glands and significantly lower weight in comparison with the original, it became significantly more convenient and flip and carry out the tracking of the enemy model. In percentage, we will not express the difference in numbers to you, but it is really huge.
As for the sensor, it makes no sense to talk about it. This is all the same Hero , as in the original model, except only with an increased maximum dpi. But this is pure marketing. Here you need 25,000 dpi? And we don't need. In everything else, it works as excellent as before. It is impossible to disrupt, there is no acceleration, jitter is minimal even at high sensitivity levels.
Cons and disadvantages
And now about objective minuses. I did not like the wheel at all. It already crackles out of the box, the steps of scrolling are expressed weakly, with a very sluggish tactile dedication, and in general, Sickle causes distrust.
And this is alarming, as problems with the durability of the models of the PRO series have been pursuing Logitech since 2018. In our editorial office there was a Pro Wireless, which in a year of use broke the left main button. Dubbleklik appeared. Yes, the manufacturer’s company service center quickly solved this problem, sending a new mouse to replace, but even a year later the trouble happened: the wheel refused, which, when moving downward, was scrolling the page upward. So, looking at Superlight and its wheel, it seems that such problems are not around the corner. Unacceptable in mice for this amount.
There could be a better cable. Yes, he was facilitated and made softer than that of his predecessor, but for such a light device it is still too noticeable. Clear business, its main purpose is to charge the device once every two to three weeks for a couple of hours, but what if the mouse is discharged at the most inopportune moment, but you need to play? There are simply no other options, except to connect it with a wire to the PC, so there would be more apparently more appropriately.
Soft
We will quickly run through the possibilities for. In this case, it is represented by the GUB utility – a single platform for the entire game periphery from Logitech. Everything is drawn very stylish and neatly. The menu is located logically and intuitively. It's nice to use it. Of the possibilities: changing the speed of the mouse survey in the range from 125 to 1000 Hz, the change of DPI in the range from 10 to 25,600 with a step of 50 dpi, recording macros, including those that allow you to change sensitive sensor on the fly, and the last – Change of functionality of any of the mouse buttons. That is, you can make the left click right, make the side buttons work on the contrary and so on.
Conclusions
So what can be said in the end? Is Pro X SuperLight as much as they ask for it? Yes, it’s worth it. There were clearly a lot of funds in the development of the device and its grinding, and Logitech adequately evaluates the work of its engineers. It is on the one hand. On the other hand, the device is an undoubted leader in a technological plan, objectively not having analogues. In any case, at the moment.
With the exception of potential problems with the wheeled, which are solved by one call to the Logitech call center, we could not find other shortcomings. The mouse is really executed.
But whether it is worth buying it is another question. In our opinion, the word Pro in the name of the model is not just like that. This is really a thing done primarily for professional e -sportsmen. Without proper preparation and without a certain level of skill in the game, most will have to get used to this weight for a very long time. It’s the same as to ride my father's daddy all your life ” A storus " , and then sit on a carbon sports bike. If you want, do not want, but you have to completely retrain and master new management skills. The same in the case of Superlight. This is a thin and high -precision instrument for pros with great experience. Expensive and almost uncompromising.
